Job summary

ISMIRA Agency, recruiting for Scylla AG, seeks an Assistant Hotel Manager to oversee hotel operations aboard luxury river cruises in Europe. You will support the Hotel Manager, supervise reception, onboard shop, and guest services, and lead staff training to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, English fluency, and IT skills. Seasonal contracts run from March to November with meals and accommodation on board.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel industry or river cruise experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent English (written & verbal); German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily cruise/guest service operations per Scylla standards.
• Oversee guest satisfaction and monitor guest feedback.
• Build strong relationships with hotel staff and HoDs to maximize operations.
• Assist Hotel Manager with HoD meetings in HM's absence.
• Greet and direct guests and visitors; ensure safety compliance in the reception area.
• Manage in-port manning and customs formalities as required.
• Safely handle equipment and IT systems.
