Job summary

Nashville Riverboats is expanding and seeks a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead FOH service aboard our vessel. You’ll manage dining, bar, banquet, and event service, build a motivated team, and uphold Southern hospitality across cruises, weddings, and corporate events.

Expect a practical leader who mentors staff, ensures safety and sanitation, monitors costs, and partners with HR and operations to scale as the fleet grows. Weekend and evening availability required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive F&B leadership experience, preferably in high-volume settings.
• Strong understanding of front-of-house operations, beverage service, labor management, inventory, cost controls, and guest-service standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold employees accountable.
• Hands-on management style with willingness to jump into service when needed.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify operational issues before guest impact.
• Strong judgment, professionalism, and emotional intelligence in handling concerns.
• Foundational HR knowledge including documentation and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day onboard F&B operations across dining, bar, banquet, and event service.
• Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for service, cleanliness, presentation, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Be highly visible during service and actively support the team and engage with guests.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop servers, bartenders, support staff, and emerging leaders.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and ensure staff understand cruise details, safety, and events.
• Create a positive, professional work environment and address performance concerns promptly.
• Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, training, and employee relations.
• Manage scheduling and labor based on cruise volume and events.
• Monitor costs, inventory, waste, and other key expenses.
• Oversee POS procedures, cash handling, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Maintain high standards for alcohol service, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Marine Operations, Sales, Events, Entertainment, and leadership to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Prepare operation for addition of next vessel with staffing, training, and processes.
