Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks an Onboard Telecom Technology Manager in Berlin. You will own Wi‑Fi, network infrastructure, onboard units, and staff devices, defining specs and architectures for robust passenger connectivity on high-speed rail projects.

You will monitor performance, drive improvement projects, and collaborate with operations, product, rail engineering, and external vendors. Fluency in German and English is required to engage with suppliers and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Telecommunications, CS, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• 2+ years hands-on with network architecture, Wi-Fi systems, or Mobile Device Management (ideally in rail or a similarly complex environment).
• Fluent German and English; German often mandatory when working with suppliers/regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Own everything that keeps passengers connected and crew productive on the train: Wi‑Fi and network infrastructure, onboard units, and mobile devices for staff.
• Write specs and define network architectures for onboard connectivity.
• Monitor live performance and drive improvement projects from conception to finish.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product, rail engineering, and external vendors.
