Job summary

Amtrak is seeking an On Board Chef - Line Cook in Chicago to prepare full-course meals on dining cars, assist with loading, cooking, plating, and keeping the car areas clean.

The role requires prior restaurant experience as a Chef/Line Cook and excellent written and oral communication.

Competitive hourly pay starting at 21 during training, rising to 30.29-40.39 after training, with benefits and rail pass privileges.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a restaurant as a Chef/Line Cook.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full-course meals for Amtrak passengers.
• Assist with all phases of meal preparations.
• Wash all items used in the preparation of meals in compliance with FDA sanitation regulations and standards.
• Must complete all end-point duties.
