Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to perform on-site roadway worker protection around live railroad tracks and coordinate job sites, dispatch communications, and various on-track safety duties at controlled and non-controlled tracks across multiple projects.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of track/construction experience, plus CP On Track Worker qualification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of track and/or construction experience.
• CP On Track Worker and Operating Rules certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide required job site protection per rules and coordinate with train dispatchers and engineers.
• Conduct daily job briefings and ensure safety requirements are followed.
• Prepare and submit electronic forms (job set up, daily reports, invoices).
• Place signs, derail devices, and other equipment weighing 15-90 pounds as needed.
• Maintain communications with RWIC supervisors and manage schedules.
