SUMMARY:

Thepurpose of this position is to provide On-The-Job Training to new, entry-level,or transferred employees in the unit/or department equipment. Instructions andto assist in the development and delivery of other training if necessary.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

• Primary responsibility will be to oversee andimplement the Employee Training Qualification Program for Operations employees.This includes training and validation of trainees with respect to theirperformance against established training objectives and recommendation ofadditional skill requirements as needed.
• Assist in developing Standard Work Instructions,checklists, and visual aids.
• Conduct, OJT training and certification. Follow upon a regular, planned schedule to answer questions and verify proficiency.
• Conduct cross training and annual re-qualificationas required by the Training Qualification Program. Support employees who have questions or need additional assistance in understanding their jobresponsibilities.
• During non-training or non-production periods, theOJT trainer may be called upon to perform in other capacities such as back upfor Driver within the transportation department
• Perform all training in full compliance with allcompany, state and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Notify designated personnel of any irregularities inmaterials, processes, or equipment.
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s,maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect foodsafety, food quality or personnel safety.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ensure compliance with all applicable requirementsrelated to product and service quality, environmental standards, food safety,and health and safety regulations.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment bypreventing work-related injuries and illnesses, eliminating hazards, andreducing health and safety risks.
• Compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical ControlPoints (HACCP)/General manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines for personalhygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management.
