Job summary

LEAPforkids in New Haven, CT is seeking a full-time Site Coordinator to lead neighborhood program operations, supervise counselors, and ensure high-quality activities for children and youth leaders. This exempt role requires a Bachelor's degree, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to live on-site during the summer.

Salary range is $50,000–$52,000 with excellent benefits. You will build partnerships with parents and schools, manage budgets, and report to the Directors of

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in youth development, education, or related field.
  • Experience in youth leadership development and community service.
  • Spanish and English bilingual desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with children on site and guide their development.
  • Recruit children and coordinate activities.
  • Create site-wide events that foster unity, fun and teamwork.
  • Design program activities offering new learning opportunities.
  • Establish site norms, schedules and group management.
  • Mentor and develop counselors; conduct training and evaluations.
  • Manage site finances and budget; prepare regular reports.
