Job summary

Texas A&M AgriLife Research is seeking a Software Applications Developer II to advance WordPress-based websites and full-stack web applications at the CMTS department in College Station, TX. The role emphasizes complex debugging, theme/plugin development, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance.

The candidate will collaborate with designers, content managers, and project leaders, writing clean PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 while adhering to WordPress standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of software applications development experience with WordPress and web development.
• Experience building and maintaining public-facing WordPress sites using HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains WordPress themes and plugins.
• Works on full-stack web applications including front-end and back-end development.
• Ensures accessibility compliance and follows WordPress coding standards.
• Collaborates with content managers, designers, and project leaders on web projects.
• Writes and reviews technical documentation and onboarding materials.
