Job summary

Baker Hughes is hiring a Wireline Field Operator to join our OFS Wireline Team in the United States. You will be fully responsible for on-site operations, tool maintenance, and post-job duties, with opportunities to train junior operators.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and a valid CDL with Hazmat. You must be able to work on-call, travel to well sites, and pass a federal background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles and work at client sites.
• Willingness to work on-call 24x7 and travel to well sites as needed.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass federal background checks.
• Proficient with computers for reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for jobs and perform tool maintenance (pre/post job checks).
• Rig equipment at well site and at shop.
• Service devices and build logging cable heads.
• Perforate cable heads and maintain tools.
• Maintain site/DOT records and communicate with District Manager.
• Promote good customer relations and receive job instructions.
• Work safely at the well site and perform core duties.
• Supervise and train fellow Field Operators.
• Drive company vehicles safely and in compliance with regulations.
