Job summary

Truestone, an Akima company, is seeking an experienced Welder in Tobyhanna, PA. The role requires passing background, drug, and physical tests and current proficiency in Aluminum TIG, Aluminum MIG, Flux Core, and Steel MIG. Shifts may vary to meet contract needs.

Responsibilities include welding from layouts and blueprints, performing brazing and multiple arc welds, and preparing parts for assembly. Candidates must be US citizens and ready to obtain relevant AWS certifications if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience welding aluminum with TIG and MIG processes.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams and layouts.
• Certification to AWS welding standards or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Welds metal components to fabricate or repair products per layouts and blueprints.
• Welds using gas welding, brazing and arc welding; perform cutting and grinding as needed.
• Locate and repair cracks in engine parts; pass tests to meet certification standards.
