Magellan Health, Inc. seeks an On-Site Victim Advocate at Fort Carson, Colorado, to provide crisis intervention and comprehensive victim advocacy services to Soldiers, Families, and Civilians.

Responsibilities include safety planning, referrals, and coordination with FAPM to ensure coordinated community responses. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in counseling-related field and at least two years of experience with domestic abuse/sexual assault victims; prior military context is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in social/work, psychology, marriage, family, and child counseling, counseling or behavioral science, education, community health or public health.
• Two years' experience working with victims of domestic abuse/sexual assault violence or victim advocacy services.
• Working knowledge of Family violence dynamics, safety planning, risk assessments, local community resources, and federal and state laws pertaining to domestic abuse or sexual assault, Family law and the Victim Rights Bill.

Responsabilités

• Provide crisis intervention and comprehensive services to include emotional support, transportation arrangements, and accompaniment to medical, legal and/or law enforcement appointments.
• Assist victims with navigating services and referrals to appropriate resources.
• Conduct safety planning, lethality assessments, and provide emotional support during crisis.
• Liaise with the Family Advocacy Program Manager to ensure comprehensive victim services and training.
• Ensure daily case management and timely data entry; maintain contact with victims in crisis and regular contact when not in crisis.
