Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting seeks an experienced Project Manager (Utility T&D and Substations) in Akron, OH, with hands-on transmission and substation project experience. The role requires managing projects through construction, coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, and utility stakeholders.

You will lead scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring safety and quality. On-site work in the assigned market is required, with opportunities for growth and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• PMP certification or willingness to obtain within six months is preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of electric utility capital projects from preconstruction through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout.
• Manage Transmission, Distribution and/or Substation capital projects.
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting and cost controls.
• Coordinate outages, permits, ROW and environmental requirements as applicable.
• Monitor field construction for safety, quality, schedule and cost performance.
• Prepare project status, cost, schedule and risk reporting.
