Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of verifiable experience as a pipe layer.
• Must pass OSHA safety training.
• Valid driver's license required.
• United States citizen.
• Experience around utilities in city/urban areas.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety rules and procedures.
• Perform trenching and earth work to grade.
• Cut, bevel, and assemble PVC and ductile iron pipe.
• Set grade with pipe lasers and transit.
• Connect pipe fittings and install restraints.
• Backfill and compact trenches.
• Install sewer manholes and set frames.
• Read construction plans and communicate with crew.
