Job summary

LeoTerra Development, Inc. in Kernersville, NC seeks a skilled Utility Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance and repair of water, sewer, stormwater and other utility systems on our land development projects.

You will lead a crew, coordinate with project managers and regulators, review blueprints, manage materials and train team members to deliver safe, compliant and high‑quality work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of utility installation/maintenance experience with supervisory duties.
• Thorough knowledge of water distribution, sewer collection, stormwater and underground utilities.
• Familiarity with codes, regulations and industry standards governing utility construction.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of utility workers in installation, repair and maintenance of utility systems on construction sites.
• Coordinate with project managers to develop installation plans, scheduling, resources and logistics.
• Interpret blueprints and specs to ensure proper placement of utilities per project requirements.
• Manage procurement and inventory of materials, equipment and tools for utilities.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards or compliance concerns.
• Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among crew and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors and regulators to obtain permits and approvals.
• Maintain accurate records of work, materials, labor hours and milestones.
• Provide training and mentorship to crew members for skill development and quality workmanship.
• Communicate updates to stakeholders including managers, subcontractors, inspectors and clients.
