Job summary

LeoTerra Siteworks in Kernersville, NC seeks an experienced Underground Utility Pipe Layer to install water, sewer, and storm drain piping in accordance with project plans and safety standards. The role requires hands-on underground utility construction experience and the ability to work well with a crew in a fast-paced field environment.

You will read blueprints, grade stakes, and project specifications; set pipe to line and grade using lasers and levels; install fittings, hydrants, manholes,

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in underground utility installation watersewer preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and grade stakes.
• Knowledge of trench safety and excavation standards.
• Experience working around heavy equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Valid drivers license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install underground water, sewer, and storm drain piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and project specifications.
• Set pipe to proper line and grade using lasers and levels.
• Install fittings, valves, hydrants, manholes, and related components.
• Assist with trench layout, bedding, backfilling, and compaction.
• Ensure proper trench safety and shoring requirements are followed.
• Work closely with equipment operators and crew members.
• Perform basic maintenance and care of tools and equipment.
• Follow OSHA and company safety policies at all times.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Underground Utility Pipe Layer to join our team This position is responsible for installing water sewer and storm drain piping systems in accordance with project plans specifications and safety standards The ideal candidate has hands on experience in underground utility construction and works well as part of a crew in a fast paced field environment

Key Responsibilities

• Install underground water sewer and storm drain piping systems
• Read and interpret blueprints grade stakes and project specifications
• Set pipe to proper line and grade using lasers and levels
• Install fittings valves hydrants manholes and related components
• Assist with trench layout bedding backfilling and compaction
• Ensure proper trench safety and shoring requirements are followed
• Work closely with equipment operators and crew members
• Perform basic maintenance and care of tools and equipment
• Follow OSHA and company safety policies at all times
