Job summary

SMS InfoComm Corporation in Lewisville, TX is seeking a UAV Field Technician to drive a company vehicle to client sites, install UAV infrastructure, and establish drone flight lines.

You will troubleshoot, test components, and collaborate with SMS engineering and client staff to keep operations running smoothly in the DFW area and beyond. FAA Part 107 license is preferred, along with basic computer skills and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Prefer technical knowledge of flight and UAV management.
• Prefer FAA Part 107 license.
• Must have clean, valid driver’s license.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills are necessary.
• Must be mechanically inclined with experience in using small hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of UAVs to customer sites.
• Set up client technical infrastructure and drone flight lines.
• Assist in troubleshooting, component removal/replacement and testing.
• Work with SMS engineering and client personnel to ensure operations.
• Must identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• QC and test electronic component repairs and replacements.
