Job summary

Aspiranet in Turlock, CA is seeking a compassionate Support Counselor to join our Foster Care & Adoption team. This part-time role (16 hours/week, non-exempt) focuses on one-on-one support for up to six children and their families, with weekly home visits and individualized plans to build coping skills and strengthen family bonds.

You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, adhere to program and state standards, and help youth navigate challenges.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in social services or related field with 1 year of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in social services with 6 months of experience.
• ABA experience preferred; background clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supportive services and interventions to children and youth.
• Conduct weekly home visits and individualized sessions with clients and families.
• Use trauma-informed care approaches to address challenging behaviors with empathy and assertiveness.
• Develop creative strategies to help clients build coping skills and resilience.
• Collaborate with team and document progress and updates.
