Job summary

Aspiranet in Turlock, CA is seeking a part-time Support Counselor to provide direct client support within the Foster Care & Adoption team. The role involves conducting home visits, delivering trauma-informed interventions, and building trusting relationships with children, youth, and families.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document progress, and support individualized treatment plans while meeting scheduling needs in Stanislaus County.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in social services or related field + 1 year of experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in social services + 6 months of experience.
• ABA experience preferred
• Experience working with children, youth, and families in supportive or counseling roles.
• Background clearances, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supportive services and interventions to children and youth.
• Conduct weekly home visits and individualized sessions with clients and families.
• Use trauma-informed care approaches to address challenging behaviors with empathy.
• Develop creative strategies to help clients build coping skills and resilience.
• Support development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Adjust approaches to meet the needs and schedules of youth and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all client contacts, progress, and interventions.
• Collaborate with social workers, clinicians, and program managers.
