Job summary

Aspiranet, one of California’s leading nonprofit organizations, is seeking compassionate Support Counselors to join our Bakersfield, CA team. You will provide direct support to youth and caregivers, implementing individualized plans that promote healing, stability, and growth.

In a team-based setting, you’ll document treatment progress with other professionals and build trusting relationships with clients, meeting 4-7 clients at optimal times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field.
• Experience working in a mental health capacity with children and families is preferred, but not required.
• Meets all agency, funder, and regulatory employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to youth and caregivers.
• Implement individualized plans that promote healing, stability, and growth.
• Document and share treatment/intervention plans with team members to coordinate care.
