Job summary

Schneider is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician to perform on-site maintenance on trucks, containers, and trailers in North Smithfield, RI. You will be supplied with a service truck stocked with specialty tools and parts to complete tasks efficiently and correctly.

The role requires a technical degree or 1 year of trailer technician experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card within 30 days. Travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field or 1 year trailer technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license and able to meet DMV standards.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, including tire changes, electrical repairs, and welding jobs.
• Complete inspections, diagnoses and work estimations.
• Communicate status updates to drivers and internal customers.
