Job summary

Schneider National is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician in Indianapolis, IN to perform on-site maintenance of trailers, trucks, and containers. You will be provided a service truck stocked with tools and parts to complete jobs efficiently and correctly.

Responsibilities include on-site maintenance (tires, electrical, welding), inspections, diagnoses, estimations, and communicating progress to drivers and internal customers. A diesel tech degree or 1 year of trailer tech experience is required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field (or 1 year trailer tech experience).
• Must travel to on-site customers.
• Valid driver's license and can meet Schneider DMV record standards.
• Valid DOT medical card or able to attain within 30 days.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance of trailers, trucks, and containers.
• Complete inspections, diagnoses and work estimations.
• Communicate status updates to Schneider drivers and internal customers.
