Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in trailer repair or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on commercial trailers at customer locations.
• Diagnose and repair trailer systems including brake, suspension, electrical, and HVAC components.
• Conduct DOT inspections and document findings.
• Repair or replace damaged trailer components such as floors, roofs, side panels, and frames.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and structural repairs as needed.
• Travel to customer sites for scheduled and emergency repairs.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies in service vehicles.
• Document labor hours, repairs performed, parts used, and inspection results.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA).
