Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc in Wheeling, IL is hiring a Tooling Specialist to troubleshoot machines and support setups and changeovers on-site. The role focuses on verifying tooling and calibration devices, maintaining tooling, and providing technical support to production and maintenance teams.

The position requires attention to detail, strong English skills, and familiarity with measurement equipment. Work hours include evening shifts with a bi-weekly pay schedule and competitive hourly pay

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred and/or equivalent comprehensive experience in the field.
• Advanced English language skills, both spoken and written – Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Organized and detailed oriented.
• Experience with measurement equipment.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and machining.
• Knowledge of Low Fin process is a plus.
• Understands how to read drawings and calculate values from them.
• Competent with computers.

Responsibilities

• Having EHS as top priority – creating/supporting an environment of safety excellence and promoting a safe environment for everyone.
• Troubleshooting machines to make them run properly
• Support on Changeovers and setups
• Verifying setups are in accordance with set standards.
• Prepare All Setups and Changeover Parts needed for a Changeover
• Prepare any calibration devices and mandrel assemblies when needed.
• Providing support on and understanding how to use measuring equipment.
• Maintaining tooling and parts between closed and open stocks.
• Provide support to Production and maintenance as needed
• Verifying drawings
