Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a Service Tire Technician to respond to roadside and on-site service calls with a fully equipped service truck. You will mount, balance, and repair tires across passenger, light, and commercial vehicles, diagnose tire issues, and perform light mechanical tasks as needed.

You will inspect tires and wheels, conduct fleet inspections, and operate TPMS and diagnostic tools. Maintaining the truck/gear and adhering to safety regulations are essential, with occasional

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 30–250 lbs.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record (CDL preferred but not required).
• Overtime may be required.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck.
• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires on passenger, light, and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs as needed.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Perform fleet inspections and preventative maintenance checks when required.
• Operate TPMS and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain the service truck and equipment in safe condition.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety policies; provide clear timelines to customers.
• Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls.
