Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a tire service technician to respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck. You will mount, dismount, balance, and repair all tire types and perform light mechanical work as needed.

You will inspect tires and wheels for wear and proper inflation, operate TPMS and diagnostic tools, and maintain the service truck and gear in safe condition while following DOT regulations and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
• Overtime may be required.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift 30–250 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Able to work independently in various weather/road conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside and on-site service calls using a fully equipped service truck.
• Mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires (passenger, light truck, commercial, industrial).
• Diagnose and repair tire-related issues and perform light mechanical repairs.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
• Perform fleet inspections and preventative maintenance checks as needed.
• Operate TPMS and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain the service truck, tools, and equipment in safe operating condition.
• Follow DOT regulations, safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service with clear service details and timelines.
• Assist with warehouse or shop duties when not on service calls.
