Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Test Engineer for the NSWC Dahlgren Division site in VA to design and maintain automated test scripts and detailed test plans aligned to requirements. You will execute manual and automated testing, collaborate with developers and government customers, and contribute to defect resolution in an Agile environment.

The role requires 2+ years in software/testing, Linux proficiency, and strong communication skills. U.S. citizenship and on-site work at Dahlgren are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system-level)
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities
• Interface with government customers daily
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation
