Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM program at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on designing and maintaining automated test scripts, developing test plans, and executing manual and automated testing across levels, with close collaboration with developers and government customers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of testing experience, proficiency in test automation, Linux, and strong requirements traceability. U.S.

Qualifications

2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
Experience running/writing automation scripts; comfortable with Linux environments.
Comfortable reviewing C++ code and linking requirements to test cases.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system-level).
Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
Interface with government customers daily; occasionally present testing documentation.
