Job summary

VetJobs is seeking a Technician 2 Temp Control-Shop in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC systems, and oil-free air compressors, troubleshooting shop equipment and operating as needed.

The role is on-site, full-time with potential overtime and weekends, featuring a robust training program and growth opportunities in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• May require TWIC card or valid DOT medical card depending on customer requirements.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 60–75 lbs and move heavy objects when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• Work solo or with a team to set up and operate equipment in the shop.
