Job summary

Virtua Health in Pennsauken, NJ is seeking a part-time Tele Sitter Technician to provide continuous observation, redirect at-risk behavior, and promptly alert the nursing staff. You will support the healthcare team and patients while upholding high standards of professional ethics.

The role requires 1 year of hospital experience and 1 year of direct patient care experience, a High School diploma or GED, and completion of the Observer course.

Qualifications

• 1-year hospital experience required.
• 1-year direct patient care experience required.
• Successful completion of Observer course.
• Current Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider preferred.
• Certification preferred (patient care technician, nurse assistant, medical assistant).

Responsibilities

• Always maintains visual observation of patients.
• Verbally redirects patient over digital 2-way audio device in the patient room.
• Immediately alerts the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.
• Demonstrates safe work practices and participates in safety programs.
• Participates in learning new skills to support programs and services.
