Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in Millersville, MD. You will lead requirements definition, MBSE, and interface development for hardware/software products across the program lifecycle.

You will collaborate with internal and external customers, perform risk assessments, and support design reviews while traveling up to 15%. A security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent; 6+ years experience or Graduate Degree with 4+ years experience.
• 2+ years in systems engineering and gov program lifecycle.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-499, EIA-632, IEEE 1220 or IEEE/ISO/IEC 15288.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of DOORS and MBSE tooling.

Responsibilities

• Review program objectives, concept of operations, interfaces and operations.
• Define, flow-down and trace requirements for complex electronic systems (MBSE).
• Develop system specifications, interfaces, diagrams and trade studies.
• Prepare engineering artifacts for program design reviews.
• Support SE execution across cost, schedule, and technical.
• Assess risks and support mitigation with leadership.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Brief status and results to program and customer.
