Job summary

Sensor Technology Engineering (STE) is seeking a System Engineer I to contribute to the development, design, and delivery of radiation detection systems for CWMD and EOD missions. The role focuses on delivering systems that enhance customers' operational capabilities, working on a team with electrical and mechanical engineers.

The position requires a BS/MS in engineering, strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Engineering or other relevant technical degree.
Excellent trouble-shooting capability and analytical skills.
Ability to set priorities and organize incoming projects.
Familiarity with Windows, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Supports optimization of production throughput and processes/procedures, including SW development and data analytics.
Supports engineering in redesign efforts, especially obsolescence management.
Revises BOMs, drawings, and part numbers as directed.
Performs routine troubleshooting, test and calibration in production support.
Supports operations to enable on-time, high-quality deliveries.
Documents changes to hardware and deviations from standard procedures with engineering staff.
