Job summary

Sensor Technology Engineering (STE) is hiring a System Engineer I to contribute to the development, design and delivery of STE’s radiation detection systems. These systems serve military, federal, and first responder missions and are built under the HEICO family. The position is on-site in Goleta, CA.

Salary ranges from $80k to $110k, DOE, with a Monday–Friday schedule. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize production, document changes, and support BOM revisions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supports optimization of production throughput and processes/procedures as needed including SW development and data analytics
• Supports STE engineering in ongoing redesign efforts – particularly in obsolescence management
• Responsible for the revision of BOMs and drawings and part numbers as directed
• Performs routine troubleshooting, test and calibration in support of production
• Supports operations (purchasing and production) to facilitate on-time and high-quality deliveries
• Works with electrical and mechanical engineering staff to document changes made to hardware and deviations from standard procedures as necessary

The System Engineer will contribute to the development, design, and delivery of STE’s industry-leading radiation detection systems. These systems will be delivered to STE’s customers, forming a key element of their operational capabilities.
