Job summary

Broaddus Construction seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site field operations for projects in the McAllen/Rio Grande Valley area. Candidates with commercial and/or K-12 backgrounds are preferred and will manage multi‑discipline teams on regional projects.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety, coordinating permits, and directing look-ahead schedules while coordinating with Project Managers, Engineers, and Architects.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of direct construction field experience as a Superintendent preferred.
• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all daily on-site field operations, self-performed work, and subcontracted trade activities to ensure schedules and quality.
• Enforce site safety and quality control policies among employees, trades, and subcontractors per OSHA.
• Direct project scheduling in the field with look-ahead schedules to manage sequencing and material deliveries.
• Coordinate with local inspectors and authorities to secure permits, inspections, and final occupancy.
• Manage jobsite logistics, utilities, laydown areas, traffic control, and material staging for efficiency and safety.
• Maintain detailed daily field logs of headcount, weather, equipment use, operations, and visitors.
