Job summary

Rocky Mountain Prep Noel in Denver seeks a dedicated Substitute Teacher to provide high-quality coverage in ELA and Math classrooms, using teacher-provided plans and routines.

You will maintain safe, structured learning environments, follow a coverage schedule, take attendance, and collaborate with school leaders to meet scheduling needs while supporting multilingual learners and students with disabilities. The role is on-site with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Must possess at least one Substitute Authorization.
• Within first year, complete CDE READ Act training or CDE CLD -45 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in ELA and Math classrooms using teacher-provided lesson plans, materials, and routines.
• Maintain safe, structured, and positive learning environments with high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Ensure instructional continuity during coaching, Weekly Planning Meetings, and Weekly Data Meetings.
• Follow an established coverage schedule and coordinate with teachers to ensure smooth classroom transitions.
• Take attendance, record required information, and provide clear notes to classroom teachers following coverage.
• Build positive relationships with students and maintain consistent classroom routines across multiple classrooms.
• Collaborate with school leaders and instructional coaches to respond to scheduling and coverage needs.
• Support the diverse learning needs of students, including multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
