Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education required.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful K-12 teaching experience.
• North Carolina teaching license required.
• Experience mentoring or supervising student teachers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with assigned student teachers and establish clear communication channels.
• Supervise and provide regular feedback with formal observations and documentation according to rubrics.
• Offer ongoing mentorship and support, coordinating with cooperating teachers and university faculty.
• Connect student teachers with community resources and local organizations to enrich learning experiences.
• Collaborate with program coordinators and supervisors to ensure effective implementation of the program.
• Ensure placements align with curriculum and learning objectives with cooperating teachers.
• Maintain timely, clear communication with stakeholders and coordinate travel to eastern NC school districts.
• Travel to various school districts in eastern North Carolina to supervise student teachers.
