The Staff Accountant at the Tucson Convention Center performs day‑to‑day accounting and payroll activities for facility and food operations, with responsibilities from reconciliations and journal entries to monthly statements and event settlements.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
• Minimum 1–2 years of general accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day accounting activities so that general ledger, trial balance, and key account reconciliations are adequately prepared and monitored.
• Prepares and performs bank reconciliations on multiple accounts for both food and beverage and facility operations.
• Prepares invoices and monthly revenue recognition journal entries.
• Prepares and performs or assists with event settlements.
• Various financial analysis and reporting.
• Assists in preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
• Assists Accounting Managers in bi-weekly payroll processing and journal entries as needed.
• Maintains fixed asset records and performs account analysis.
• Performs A/R and A/P functions as assigned.
• Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and reviews with Finance leadership.
