The Workforce Solar Trainer will deliver Installation Basic Training (IBT) across classroom, lab, and on-site settings, ensuring participants achieve strong solar installation competencies in residential projects.

Responsabilidades

• Implement curriculum, lesson plans, training calendars, and activities in line with content and standards.
• Deliver curriculum and ensure participants achieve learning outcomes.
• Teach solar installation skills including safety, wiring basics, racking mounts, array layout, conduit bending, customer service and tool use.
• Teach and supervise safety procedures for use and handling of equipment and cleanup of the classroom, lab, and construction area.
• Teach handling of construction problems arising at the building site through demonstration and modeling.
• Provide on the job training supervision for learners on customer installations.
• Uphold GRID’s value for EID.
• Set up, supervise and maintain high standards for the execution of course exams.
• Help supervise worksite activities and schedules with the Workforce Program Manager.
• Keep learners’ progress and skill attainment records; review and document progress.
• Turn in required documents in a timely manner.
• Ensure learners attend and adhere to program policies.
• Assist in recruitment and job placement activities.
• Collaborate with the workforce development team and provide feedback.
• Build and maintain lab equipment.
• Work closely with Solar Installation Training Officer on training logistics, documentation, feedback, and improvements.
• Assist in solar installation, service calls, site assessments or design projects as assigned.
