Job summary

SPIROL in Danielson, CT is seeking an experienced Shipper (1st shift) for a 100% on-site role. The Shipper prepares shipments of finished products and ensures safe delivery using the designated carrier or SPIROL’s preferred option.

Responsibilities include identifying shipment documents, packing items securely, attaching packing slips and necessary forms, and completing bills of lading and carrier logs with legible labeling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repetitively.
• Able to safely operate a forklift within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipments and ensure proper identification on accompanying documents.
• Pack items securely in shipping containers to prevent damage.
• Enclose required paperwork with shipments, including packing slips and certifications.
• Complete destination paperwork (bills of lading, carrier logs, etc.).
• Use designated carrier or SPIROL’s preferred carrier, considering size, weight, cost and urgency.
• Ensure shipments meet planned ship dates and expedite orders as needed.
