Job summary

Barker Management, Inc. seeks an On-Site Manager to oversee operations at a Los Angeles development. You will manage daily site duties, ensure safety, and coordinate with asset managers, owners, and staff to maintain quality housing and compliance.

The role requires 2+ years of office/clerical experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel, plus Tax Credit and Bond experience. Affordable housing background is preferred.

• Must have Tax Credit and Bond experience.
• Prior experience in affordable housing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable operation of the development and timely completion of duties.
• Maintain a well-kept appearance and ensure safety and security.
• Communicate with asset manager/owner/investor and staff in a timely manner.
• Enforce lease terms and resident rules in a professional, non-discriminatory manner.
• Work 40 hours per week, with possible after-hours or weekend coverage for emergencies.

Although the Manager reports directly to his or her assigned Regional Manager and takes specific directions from his or her Regional Manager, the Manager must remain attentive and responsive to all reasonable requests made by the asset manager/owner/investor for the development.The On-Site Manager is employed to ensure…1. The safety and security of the development and the residents always.5. The identification and reporting of all problems or potential problems involving the development or its residents to his or her supervisor in a timely manner.6. Open communication between every individual involved in the operational aspects of the development; Assistant Manager, Leasing Agent, Janitor and Maintenance Staff.7. A courteous and professional demeanor at all times, especially when interacting with the residents, asset management, vendors, and community members.8. Compliance by the residents with the terms and conditions of the Residential Lease and the Resident Rules and Guidelines in a firm, consistent, professional, and non-discriminatory manner.9. Attentiveness to the concerns, complaints, and/or suggestions of the residents and responsiveness those concerns, complaints, and/or suggestions in a prompt, fair, competent, and professional manner; and10. Compliance with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures established for the development.The On-Site Manager is required to perform his or her assigned duties for the development during a forty (40) hour workweek. Forty (40) hours are to be worked from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
