Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, IL. The role requires expertise in Tier 3 networking, C3/C2 systems, and DoD-compliant configurations.

Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining EACN A2G2 gateways, collaborating with Government Engineers, and ensuring secure, compliant, and highly available network operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five years of DoD experience.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• DoDD 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program.
• CompTIA Network+ certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Experience with SolarWinds software suites.

Responsibilities

• Provide Network Tier 3 support to senior leadership C2 systems and EACN gateways and SIL.
• Engineer, evaluate, and recommend new technologies to meet EACN requirements.
• Assist Government Engineers with configuration management, architecture, and state planning.
• Troubleshoot network issues at JBA/JBLM/SAFB A2G2 sites and platforms accessing A2G2s.
• Install and configure A2G2 baseline configurations and test software updates in SIL.
• Create scripts, executables, graphs, and maps to configure and monitor networked systems.
• Maintain servers with backups and patch management; ensure secure connections and SNMP-based monitoring.
• Document changes and deliverables according to EACN guidance.
