Job summary

Inversion seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Reentry, to own manufacturing and integration tasks across multiple vehicle programs. You will bridge design and flight hardware, setting assembly standards and workflows for primary structures, TPS, and complex interfaces on the factory floor.

Reporting to the Director of Mechanical, Reentry, you will work autonomously to solve high-complexity challenges, mentor engineers, and coordinate with central production to keep builds safe, on schedule,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, hardware integration, or vehicle-level builds.
• Experience authoring assembly procedures and managing build configurations.
• Experience designing tooling or GSE in CAD and applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with structural bonding, TPS integration, and MRB processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize vehicle program assembly and integration processes.
• Author and approve manufacturing work instructions and checklists.
• Design and qualify vehicle integration tooling and GSE.
• Lead MRB disposition and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate part deliveries and subassembly integration.
• Establish standard practices for precision joints and fasteners.
• Mentor junior engineers on safety and engineering practices on the floor.
