Job summary

Inversion Space Company in Playa Vista, CA, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Reentry, to own product introduction manufacturing and integration across multiple vehicle programs. You will bridge design and flight hardware, establishing assembly standards and workflows for primary structures, TPS, and interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Typically 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, hardware integration, or vehicle-level builds.
• Experience authoring assembly procedures and managing build configurations.
• Experience designing tooling and GSE in CAD.
• Familiarity with MRB processes and non-conformance tracking.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance.
• On-site at Inversion HQ in Playa Vista, CA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize vehicle assembly and integration processes.
• Author, review, and approve manufacturing work instructions and checklists.
• Design, procure, and qualify vehicle integration tooling, fixtures, and GSE using CAD.
• Lead MRB disposition, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate part deliveries and subassembly integration with production teams.
• Establish standard practices for precision joints, fasteners, adhesives.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to ensure quality and safety.
