Job summary

Clearbrook is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit function in an in-office capacity. The role focuses on ICFR, SOX, and Model Audit Rule activities, evaluating risks and control effectiveness, and coordinating remediation.

The position requires leading audits, applying professional skepticism, and collaborating with process and technology owners. Strong communication and CPA/CISA-type credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, or SOX/ICFR.
• SOX/ICFR experience including scoping, walkthroughs, and remediation monitoring.
• Knowledge of COSO framework, ERM concepts, and risk assessment practices.
• Ability to lead audit workstreams and influence improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Assess risks, define scope, and develop audit programs.
• Perform planning, fieldwork, analytics, and control testing.
• Prepare clear workpapers meeting standards.
• Identify issues and propose practical improvements.
• Communicate status and findings to management.
