Job summary

Sweet Apparel Inc. in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Sr. Graphic Designer to join the design team on-site. The role focuses on creating print designs for apparel, developing concepts, and preparing graphics for presentations and production.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fashion, a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design or related field, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Excellent organization, communication, and a keen eye for brand aesthetics are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the fashion industry (licensed product experience required).
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.
• Brand appropriate aesthetic.
• Illustration skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create print designs for t-shirts and other apparel items.
• Develop, execute and follow-up on concepts for art including all changes required by licensor.
• Prepare graphics for internal presentations.
• Prepare color separations for screen prints so art is print-ready when sent to the factory.
• Provide constructive comments on art approvals and strike-offs.
• Coordinate standards and materials for seasonal development.
• Design and research line elements and assist in creating sales tools and presentation aids.
• Shop the market to research current trends and present data for brand objectives.
• Collaborate with Design, Sales and Brand Management to launch clothing lines.
• Oversee the overall design process to meet style plans and sales needs.
