Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking a CEI Senior Inspector to support construction and inspection efforts in the Tampa, FL area. This role ensures major transportation projects meet FDOT standards and contract requirements, performing field surveying, inspections, and QA activities.

The position requires extensive CEI experience, relevant certifications, and a valid US driver's license. Occasional travel, on-site work, and adherence to safety standards are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 4 years CEI experience or equivalent
• Valid US Driver’s License; MVR review required
• Preferred: CEI experience in roadway/bridge; CTQP certifications

Responsibilities

• Performs highly complex field surveying and construction layout per project specs
• Verifies engineering computations, inspects construction work, and conducts field testing to ensure quality and compliance
• Coordinates, oversees, and mentors junior inspectors for consistent inspection execution
• Plans, prioritizes, and manages project timelines and deadlines
• Provides on-the-job training and supports project closeout documentation
