Job summary

AIC is seeking an experienced on-site Accountant to own the books for a real operating company within its portfolio. You will manage AR, AP, payroll, GL, and fixed assets, ensuring accurate monthly closes and a defensible opening balance sheet after close.

You will bring manufacturing accounting expertise, including inventory valuation, standard costs, and cost variance analysis, while supporting complex investor and lender reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience with full month-end close.
• Manufacturing accounting experience including inventory, WIP, standard costs and variance analysis.
• Fluent in U.S. GAAP and able to operate independently in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day accounting for a real operating company, including AR/AP, payroll, and GL.
• Value inventory, track standard costs, and perform variance analysis.
• Close books, map to a chart of accounts, and establish a clean opening balance sheet.
• Handle purchase accounting, working capital true-ups, and lender reporting.
• Support customer contracts, invoicing, and government invoicing portals as needed.
• Manage the back-office tasks including benefits, onboarding, payroll, and HR-related processes.
