Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an on‑site Site Project Manager in Columbus, Ohio to lead security projects from mobilization through closeout. You will oversee the field team, coordinate with the Major Projects group, customers, and subcontractors to deliver work on time, within scope and budget.

The role requires a university degree and at least 6 years in project management or field leadership, plus willingness to deploy 6–18 months and travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of related project management, construction supervision, or field leadership experience.
• Prior experience managing medium‑complexity projects within Security, low‑voltage, life safety, or related construction environment.
• Strong coordination skills to supervise multiple on‑site activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on‑site project manager for assigned Security projects and support execution from planning through closeout.
• Coordinate daily with the Project Manager, customer, subcontractors, and site contractors to keep work aligned and moving forward.
• Perform daily site inspections to verify quality, safety compliance, project integrity, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee on‑site work to ensure compliance with Johnson Controls standards, policies, and contractual obligations.
• Prepare and submit progress updates and field reports for inclusion in the master project schedule.
