Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Corporate Security Operations Manager to own day-to-day site security at the Mountain View campus. You will lead vendor-managed armed and unarmed security teams, develop practical physical-security strategies, and partner with internal teams and local law enforcement.

This hands-on role requires 4–5 days in the office per week and offers opportunities to influence security posture across offices and events.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of law-enforcement and/or corporate-security experience, with frontline leadership.
• Experience leading armed and unarmed vendor security teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with physical-security technologies and security operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage practical physical-security measures for Mountain View site and nearby facilities.
• Own day-to-day performance of vendor-managed armed and unarmed security teams across shifts and locations.
• Set clear operational expectations and ensure adherence to company policies, post orders, and procedures.
• Monitor security practices, identify risks, and drive mitigation and remediation.
• Coordinate with Workplace, Facilities, building management, law enforcement, and security partners.
• Support security operations for on-campus events and VIP/government-guest coordination.
