Job summary
VectorUSA is seeking a Physical Security Engineer in Torrance, CA, to design, configure and integrate video surveillance, access control, and related systems for complex customer projects. On-site role requiring collaboration with sales, estimation, engineering, and field technicians to meet budgets and client expectations.
The ideal candidate has at least five years of B2B security software/hardware experience, familiarity with VMS platforms, and strong communication.
Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED required.
- Active industry certifications required.
- Minimum five years of engineering experience with video surveillance, access control, and integration for B2B customers.
- Proficiency with major VMS platforms and security hardware.
- Strong communication and project coordination skills.
Responsibilities
- Proactively communicate with security team and implement hardware/software best practices.
- Coordinate with sales, support, and service to align solutions with customer requirements.
- Participate in technician trainings and manufacturer updates.
- Determine labor, material, and time needs from proposals and specs.
- Review stakeholder input and adapt solutions accordingly.
