Job summary

Onward Education is partnering with Adams County's Thornton, CO area to hire a full-time, on-site School Social Worker or School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on delivering direct and indirect mental health services as part of IEP supports, across campuses within the district.

You will collaborate with special education teams, families, and school staff, may provide 1:1 counseling, social skills groups, crisis support, and contribute to evaluations and IEP

Qualifications

• SSP credential is required for the discipline.
• Special Education experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced school environment with strong collaboration, documentation, and student-centered communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct mental health services aligned to IEP service minutes, including 1:1 sessions and small-group supports.
• Support students across a range of needs within the IEP framework.
• Participate in crisis support as needed following district procedures.
• Contribute to social-emotional evaluations and IEP development/documentation.
• Develop and/or support FBAs and BIPs as appropriate.
• Provide direct and indirect interventions in collaboration with educators and teams.
